By having a proper estate plan, things can be made a lot easier on your family. For example, when you’re doing estate planning it’s very important that you try to avoid the probate process upon death. Probate is a very costly, time-consuming core process. It’s the process of taking assets out of the name of a decedent and putting the assets into the name of the beneficiaries. That probate process can be very time consuming and very costly. It can take one to two years to fully administer an estate, so by avoiding probate, you’d be saving your family a lot of time, a lot of money and a lot of aggravation.
