Would a living trust provide protection for my assets if I were sued?
Video Transcript
A living trust provides absolutely zero protection in the event of a law suit, a creditor, or a divorce because the grantor retains so much control over the living trust, such as the power to amend or revoke it, and the creditors would stand in the grantor’s shoes. If you want to set up something that would be protected, an irrevocable trust is a better option than a living trust.
